Malcolm Clarke (President of West Bridgfordians C C and former Chairman of the G&M Club Cricket Alliance 1989-91)
I am sure some people will already be aware, but it is with great sadness that I pass on the message that Malcolm Clarke (President of West Bridgfordians C C and former Chairman of the G&M Club Cricket Alliance 1989-91) passed away (aged 76) on Thursday 20 October 2011. Malcolm was associated with West Bridgfordians for 60 years and amazingly still playing until the ageof 67 – he celebrated 50 years as a playing member at the club back in 2001. He was a key member of the 1st XI for the majority of his career and captained for spells during the 1960’s, 1970’s and 1980’s;Chairman 1981-90; President 1991 to 2011.
The funeral will take place at Holme Pierrepont Church on Tuesday 1 November 2011 at 10.45am – Burial at Wilford Hill Cemetery at 11.40am –Reception at the Long Room (from 11.30am for those who are unable to attend the burial).
