A thrilling start to the season saw Thrumpton 83-10 victorious when winning by just three runs in their opening fixture against Collingham 80-10. Josh Sugden with 4-12 seemed to have put the visitors in control but a fine spell of 6-12 from Gavin Huskinson turned the match in favour of the hosts

Basford Mill 219-9 made a winning start to the season when they entertained and defeated Lenton Willoughby 107-10. The home side made steady progress and had Waj Khalil 65 and Samuel Blair with 61 both enjoying their first serious innings of the campaign whilst for the visitors Jamie Wilkinson returned fine figures of 5-64. In reply the visitors were put under the cosh by both Athif Ahmed 5-23 and Tom Bosworth 3-35.
