“PARK & LANE” MONOPOLIZE CHILWELL

“BELL & JEROME” DIVISION A

Lerato Kgoatle 81 Andrew Edge 47*, Jonathan Pack 4-55 Ryan Cuthbert 2-44 all assisted in helping Long Eaton 176/2 to an eight wicket win over Collingham 172/8 who had Oliver Dyson 32 & David Pipes 32 as the visitors highest scorers. Balderton 222-9 close the gap on the top sides as Chris Dobbie 58, Tim Clipsham 49, Jordy Ashby 5-37 & Luke Endley 3-57 all featured in the win over bottom of the table Wollaton 169-10 for whom Sunil Sharma returned figures of 5-66. Gedling Colliery 211-6 with 53 from Frederick Anderson gained an impressive win at fellow title contenders Ellerslie 210-9 who were indebted to a fine 90 from John Wakeling. Hucknall 155-5 finally found some form as they entertained and defeated the league leaders Belvoir 148-10 and with Dale Campbell 57, Tim Buckthorpe 41*, Dane Straw 4-40 & Robin Maxwell 3-32 all showing signs of form it means a very congested top half of the table has occurred with this week’s results. Thurgarton 197-5 continued their recent run of good form with a winning draw over Notts Unity Casuals 125-7 as the combination of James Taylor 67*, Colin Cliff 43, Sam Cliff 39 & Jacob Styles-3-35 put the hosts to the sword.

“200 DEGREES COFFEE” DIVISION B

Adam Hugill 69 & 4-56, Murray Debanke 57* & Stuart Walton 33* ensured victory was completed as Hoveringham 189-3 beat Eastwood 185-9 for whom Neil Gregory 60 & Shaun Stocks 45 were in the runs column. Calverton 224-7 completed a winning draw as Scott Andrew 60*, Billy Armstrong 52 & Matt Dean 44 featured whilst Ally Pettit 51,Olly Straw 33 & Jon Sheard 3-49 starred for West Bridgfordians 178-7. Kimberley 134-6 travelled home victorious with a four wicket win over Bottesford 129-10 with contributions from Alex Aldred 31, Ben Crouch 3-22 & Sukhdeep Sidhu 3-21. T Mahmood 13-1-42-5 & I Khalil 74* both stole the headlines as Wilsons 177-3 had a comfortable win over Wollaton 173-10. Leaders Clifton 141-10 lost their 100% record as Amaad Jalil 48*, Liaqat Ali 3-49 & Kaisar Altaf 4-36 helped Hyson Green Carrington 143-7 to victory.

“ROTHERA DOWSON” DIVISION C

Thrumpton 140-10 turned the screw on visitors Hucknall 88-10 as the trio of Arslan Shah 62, Josh Scully 5-37 & Frank Forman 3-11 helped the cause whilst the in form Jamie Braybrook again bowled well taking 4-13. Joe Fryer 89*, Chris Miller 49*, Tim Green 43, Steve Wright 6-43 & Zac Ashworth 4-46 all must be very happy cricketers as they produced a fine all round team effort as Southwell 198-2 beat Attenborough 148-10. Kirkby Portland 206-7 gained a winning draw over home side Gotham 148-7 despite three notable performance’s from the home side players they being Paul Blatherwick 57, Steve Haworth 56 & Jez Hale 5-54. Another side travelling home with a winning draw were Plumtree 177-9 with Matt Dring 47 and Nigel Finney 33 & 3-25 helping them as Keyworth 121-9 fell short despite efforts from Ben Elliot 47 and Ben Baker 4-26. Hard to choose the man of the match as Simon Pettet hit 101 and Steve Burton took 7-26 as Gedling Colliery 271-8 overwhelmed Beeston & Toton Sycamore 143-10.

“FEET” DIVISION D

Tauseef Ahmed 52, Muhammad Tariq 31, Asad Mehmood 4-7 & Muhammed Akeel 4-0 helped Gedling & Sherwood 170-10 to victory over Sutton Bonnington 115-10 who had Patrick Hood taking 5-16. S Bazmi top scored as leaders Bramcote 150-10 gained another win this time over Radcliffe on Trent 115-10. M Mishra 42* K Ul Haq 3-19 & T Tasnim 5-34 joined forces to enable Ellerslie 110-6 to come away with the win when they defeated Underwood 107-10. A fine all round team performance with M Winn 70, P Bhabra 59*, P Baxter 32* & C Hogg 4-30 guided Hickling to a comfortable win over West Bridgfordians 125-9. East Bridgford 201-10 had Jerry Cruse hitting 87 and James Foster taking 4-22 in their win over Newark R & M 115-10 who themselves will at least be pleased by the bowling of  D Nicholson 3-41, D Hatton 3-42 & T Cobb 3-38.

“TROPHY MASTER” DIVISION E

 Adam Callingham 5-6 & Gary Clark 4-29 produced fine spells of bowling as Collingham 132-10 edged a close encounter against Fiskerton 121-10 despite David Hedge’s best effort of 39 & 4-52. The four musketeers from Lenton Willoughby 201-10 stood tall as Rizwan Ahmed 91, Dave Forde 56, Ben Boot 5-33 & Simon Pickerell 3-16 helped in the win over Basford Mill 155-10. Daniel Hubbard hit a glorious 80* to ease Farndon 131-2 to an eight wicket win over Eastwood 127-10. Belvoir 96-3 had a comfortable win over Nott’s Unity Casuals 94-10 as Alex Forbes 5-32 & 55* from Paul Chadwick meant an early finish in the picturesque setting of Belvoir Castle. Andrew Shelton 6-20 was the toast of the town as Wymeswold 143-4 gained a six wicket win away at Kirkby Portland 141-10.

“GB BOOKKEEPING” DIVISION F

Despite 51 from Gavin Baggley it was not enough as Burton Joyce 132-10 were on the hands of a heavy defeat as Bingham 134-2 cruised home with T Spencer 49 & C Good hitting 46. A superb 101 from Rob Smith and 4-37 from Matt Johnson proved decisive as Plumtree 216-6 outclassed Kimberley 158-10. A very one sided affair saw Gotham 220-8 outclass opponents Whatton & Aslockton 79-10 with A. Robinson 81, M. Haider 47*, Akhtar 4-36 & R. Mirza 4-24 all performing on the day. Alex Cufflin 5-18 stole the limelight as East Leake 64-5 completed a routine victory when the defeated Calverton 62-10. A defining 80* from fifteen year old Tom Hart saw Caythorpe 135-2 overwhelm Long Eaton 134-7. 

“NCSL” DIVISION G

A Morley 54 & G Sutton 41* saw Bottesford to a total of 133-8 but 60* and 3-13 from Shaun Campbell saw Kinoulton 136-5 to the win by 5 wickets. Hugo Orme 55 and Spencer Taylor 76 & 4-31 helped Flintham 195-6 to an easy win over West Bridgford Legion 130-10. A tense and tight finish saw Ruddington 181-9 close out on the win when they dismissed hosts Ravenshead for 169-10. An emphatic win for Beeston & Toton Sycamore 48-2 was achieved by the bowling prowess of both Josh Charlwood 5-25 & Kevin Middleton 3-19 when they bowled Caunton out for just 47-10.

“JRL ESTATES” DIVISION H

Not for the first time this season Balderton’s star performer was Lewis Lambert 52* as they crushed west Bridgfordians 107-10 as they closed on 113-2 in reply. Steve Kennewell 48* backed up team mate Jim McKay 4-14 as Newark R & M completely dominated proceedings against Gedling & Sherwood 87-10. A quick fire 44* from John Noall helped easy any nerves as Lowdham 94-4 outmuscled Hyson Green Carrington 93-10. Ravi Potiwal 44, Aniel Potiwal 35 & Hiren Naik 5-34 all assisted as Young Lions 143-4 roared to a resounding win when they travelled away to Woodborough 142-10 for whom Paul Wilson hit 53. Graham Cauldwell hit 62 and Paul Harley took 4-37 as Hucknall 152-8 defeated Gedling Colliery 142-10.

“CARLTON CAR CENTRE” DIVISION J

A match winning 73 from Paul Woodward saw Chilwell 152-5 to victory over Wollaton 151-7. A valuable 56* from Joe Rice saw Keyworth 135-7 to a narrow 3 wicket win over Hoveringham 133-9. With wickets falling at regular intervals it was 41* from Chris Parkes that saw his side Bramcote 85-6 inflict defeat on visitors Thrumpton 82-10. Oxton 162-10 inflicted a heavy defeat upon Cotgrave as they dismissed them for just 69-10 the exploits of Mark Groom 77 and 5-34 from Chris Graham were the key performances for the winners. A spell of 4-10 from A Sandhu helped Attenborough 93-7 to a nervy three wicket win over Clifton 88-10.

“KING STONE PRODUCTS” DIVISION K

A comprehensive win for Caythorpe 257-5 was set up by a combination of Ian Lane 118* & 4-30 and Simon Park 81 as they the restricted Chilwell 144-9 in reply. A spell of 4-32 from Donald Macduff eased relegation worries for Basford Old Boys 77-5 as they defeated Underwood 74-10. Josh Buckley hit 64 as Stapleford 163-8 returned home with an away win against Thurgarton 162-6. Kasif Sardar’s 47 keeps Madni 95-5 at the top of the table with a five wicket win at home over Lenton Willoughby 94-10. Two fantastic bowling performances stood out as thirteen year old Shiv Vasi took 5-10 as Kimberley 63-7 edged to victory over Basford Mill 62-10 who had Will Street taking 6-30.

“SIGN SOLOUTIONS” DIVISION L

Gedling Colliery 136-2 had far too much firepower as they ran out victors when they travelled to Great Dalby 133-9. The run machine Naz Ali was at it again over the weekend scoring a magnificent 168* as Poplars 271-6 gained a forty two run win over Ruddington 229-10. The rather low total made by Radcliffe on Trent 112-10 seemed too low at first glance but they then dismissed the home side Kirkby Portland for just 97. Ellerslie 90-2 were denied what seemed a likely victory as a sudden downpour caused the game to be abandoned as they chased 125-10 set by the home side Lowdham. A much needed win was gained as Breaston 86-2 defeated Newark R & M 83-10 as Steve Gibson hit 40 and Tom Hassall took 4-6.

“ORACLE PROPERTY FINANCE” DIVISION M

Carl Knight hit 90* for Attenborough 135-7 as they defeated Belvoir 134-7 with 10 balls to spare. Mitch Frost hit 67* but sadly Burton Joyce 142-4 fell to defeat as Farndon 143-2 made easy work of chasing it down with John Curtis hitting 67*. Collingham 65-0 totally outclassed visitors Nott’s Arnold 61-10 with T Williams top scoring with 38*. George Musbert hit a fine unbeaten 129 as his side Whatton & Aslockton posted 199-6 and a fantastic effort was made by the young Thrumpton side but they fell just 9 runs short of victory closing on 191-6 and Joe Connelly 100 also joined the centurions club in the exciting run chase.

“NCSL DIVISION N”

Ben Wass 50 & David Greaves 38* guided Old Dalby 152-5 to the win when they entertained West Bridgford Legion 149-7 despite a fine 77 from Ryan Robinson in defeat. Sutton Bonnington sadly failed to raise a side in the scheduled game against Fiskerton. Martin Huffer 5-13 & Ved Parkash 3-14 made it a miserable day for Hucknall 29-10 and Beeston & Toton Sycamore 30-0 coasted home by ten wickets, More good news for Lambley 200-10 as they dominated affairs against Nott’s & Arnold 67-10 with D Simpson 43, L Morley 36, D Marshall 26 & A Banner 4-44 all trying to put the clubs misfortune earlier in the season behind them
