Knight’s maiden Century makes Attenborough’s Day
“BELL & JEROME” DIVISION A
Ellerslie 130-4 move to the top of the table with a convincing 6 wicket win over Wollaton 129-10 for whom only Nicky Kirkwood 41 provided any resistance and with new signings Hamish Moore 40* & 4-37 along with Patrick Gada 3-43 guiding them to the summit. Gedling Colliery 256-6 dominated in a winning draw against Collingham 133-9 and were denied the win by a dogged 38* from Will Cousins, inform Rhys Hayes again proving his worth by scoring 54 and taking 3-38 with also Richard Beaumont top scoring with 71. Long Eaton 128-10 knocked Belvoir 111-10 off top spot as they ran out winners by 17 runs as Alan Villiers took 6-61. Hucknall 141-6 finally hit a little form when defeating Thurgarton 140-10 by 4 wickets with skipper Robin Maxwell taking 6-45. Luke Endley 39 & 5-45 ensured back to back victories for Balderton 233-10 as they beat Nott’s Unity Casuals 164-10 for whom Raheem Karim hit a gutsy 63.

Clifton 179-7 stay top with another win this time over Calverton 178-9 as B Kirk took 4-39 and they are still to drop a point so far this season. Alistair Pettit produced amazing figures of 8-43 as he steered West Bridgfordians 192-9 to the win over Wilsons 172-10 who themselves had Umar Awan taking 5-56. Veteran Jon Terry 50 & Blayne Riley 4-33 guided Kimberley 161-6 in the local derby win over Eastwood 160-10. Chris Cupit 5-54 bowled Hoveringham 181-10 to a narrow victory over Hyson Green Carrington 175-10 for whom the evergreen Liaqat Ali took 5-44. Nick Silverwood 77 provided the only obstacle in Wollaton’s 120-1 convincing 9 wicket win over Bottesford 119-10 and with Sunil Ganesh 5-65 and Joe Fish 54* as they ran out easy victors.
“ROTHERA DOWSON” DIVISION C
Chris Miller hit a fine 78 to enable Southwell 192-6 come away with the win over Hucknall 187-10. Matt Hogg 72* backed up Rob Goddard’s 4-46 and skipper Paul Blatherwick’s 5-46 as Gotham 143-2 overcame Thrumpton 140-10. Wickets tumbled as Dave Hillier 5-35 bowled Keyworth 111-10 to victory over Kirkby Portland 96-10. Chris Allcoat 67* took his team mates to a nervous 1 wicket win as Attenborough 210-9 overtook the 209-10 that Gedling Colliery had early set them in a game of twists and turns that saw all three results still possible in the closing moments. Plumtree 180-9 were left frustrated as they strived for the final wicket as Beeston & Toton Sycamore 158-9 held out for the draw.
“FEET” DIVISION D
Radcliffe on Trent 167-8 had josh Mills in fine form as he took 5-20 as they then dismissed West Bridgfordians for only 88. Underwood 59-10 had a day to forget as visitors Bramcote 60-0 coasted to the win as S Bashi hit a quick fire 40*. Charlie Hawton 55 and 74* from Matt Evans helped Newark R & M 212-5 to victory over Ellerslie 208-6. An unbeaten 61* from D Appleby ensured Sutton Bonnington 145-4 remain in touch with the leaders when they defeated Gedling & Sherwood 144-10. Hickling 199-4 made easy work of victory as they cruised home defeating east Bridgford 195-8 and M Carmichael top scored for the victors with 71.

Taylor Bowers 55 proved decisive as Collingham 172-10 gained a 37 run win over Nott’s Unity Casuals 145-10. Dan Noble 36 & 3-19 starred as Eastwood 207-7 easily disposed of visitors Fiskerton who they dismissed for only 99. Martyn Hill 112*, David Adwick 73, Ciaran Logue 4-56 & Mark Everington 3-41 all contributed as Farndon 250-6 ran out winners over Basford Mill 162-10 for whom James Radford scored 67. James Hawkes 3-14 took a hat trick as Belvoir 120-5 beat Kirkby Portland 119-10. Jamie Needham 71 and Sam Lloyd 48 starred as Lenton & Willoughby 220-9 ran out comfortable winners when they travelled to a Wymeswold who fell short scoring 122-10.

A first win of the season was secured as Ashley Mace hit 58 and then Simon Oakley took 6-19 helping East Leake 148-7 to beat Caythorpe 117-10. Bingham 131-3 top the table as they strode to an easy win over Gotham 129-10 and Cameron Good hit 48 and he was supported by Dan Cosgrave 34*. Dominic Chambers 96 & Joe Kennedy hit 60 as Whatton & Aslockton posted 197-10 but Rob Tapp 96* & Sam Lund 63* made easy work of chasing it down as Plumtree closed on 201-2. Paul Blatherwick 113* & Danny Williams 66 combined as Kimberley 284-6 ran out easy winners when defeating Calverton 183-7. Burton Joyce 174-6 took the spoils as they defeated Long Eaton 103-10

Caunton 270-6 with an unbeaten 76* from J Wagstaff made it 3 wins out of 3 when they came away from Flintham 184-10. Ruddington 216-9 stay top by just 2 points as they inflicted defeat upon Beeston & Toton Sycamore 131-10 and Kamran Rasheed starred with 45 & 4-17. Farhad Amin 69 & 4-37 produced the match winning performances as West Bridgford Legion 146-4 inflicted defeat on Bottesford 142-7. Charlie Ogrizovic 34 & 2-24 helped Southwell 132-10 to the win over Kinoulton 102-10.

Lewis Lambert hit a superb 102* as Balderton 192-9 came out on top in the clash with neighbours Newark R & M 174-10 who had Steve Kennewell also in excellent form as he hit 62. Rav Digwa 68* stole the accolades as Young Lions 131-2 overcame the 128-8 posted by visitors West Bridgfordians. B Sankaran 70, M Burton 54 & Matt Gosling 4-20 all combined in force as Gedling Colliery 250-9 proved far too strong for visitors Hyson Green Carrington 121-8. Ian Lobb 99* fell agonisingly 1 run short as Hucknall posted 188-4 and then George Judd took 6-29 as they dismissed Woodborough for only 128. Gedling & Sherwood 129-10 fell 14 runs short as they were defeated by Lowdham 143-10 despite Jon Potter returning figures of 6-35.

Sam Randall hit a fine 97 and coupled with the bowling of Peter Bateman 3-25 & Colin McConnell 3-32 it helped Attenborough 232-7 to an emphatic win over Hoveringham 128-10. Oxton 176-8 were defeated on their travels as Norman Jowett 5-16, Dean Parkes 55 & Ian Spibey 43 all assisted in Bramcote’s 177-4 win over them. An unbeaten 53* from R Beake ensured Keyworth 196-8 closed the gap on second place Chilwell 195-9 despite 82 from M Ishrad. Farhad Saleem hit 50 in the victory for Wollaton 113-4 as they coasted home over Thrumpton 109-10. The trio of Surya Varma 70*, Terah Hooley 4-23 & Asif Munaf 3-23 made it a comfortable day for Clifton 120-3 after they had reduced Cotgrave earlier for just 118-10.

Stapleford 161-10 stay in touch with the leaders as Dwayne Buckley 69, Steve Coney 47 & Neil Gelder 6-33 all delivered in the win over Chilwell 90-10. The ever youthful Jon Lane hit 43* and with Steve Trueman 33* & 3-44 this helped Caythorpe 119-2 to victory over Underwood 118-10. A match winning 56* from Tony Downie proved conclusive as Thurgarton 186-7 defeated Lenton & Willoughby 140-10. Shiv Vasi 4-21 & Richard Kelly 3-28 bowled Kimberley 117-10 to victory over Basford Old Boys 113-10 despite the valiant efforts of Hedley Sanderson 45 & 3-25. Madni 123-10 stay top by virtue of a 26 run win over Basford Mill 97-10 as S King took 5-24.

Newark R & M could only muster 93-8 from their allotted overs and without the 44* from Rueben Straker they would have been in deeper trouble against Ellerslie 95-4 who coasted home with 22 overs remaining. A high scoring affair saw Ruddington 231-4 chase down the 228-7 set earlier in the day by home side Great Dalby. Danny O’Donnell 42* & Matt Brooks 30* didn’t hang about as they took Gedling Colliery 87-2 to an easy win over Breaston 86-10. T Booth 77 J Booth 81 guided Radcliffe on Trent to a score of 271-9 and then they destroyed hosts Lowdham bowling them out for only 80. Rob Honeywell hit 34 and Lewis Radford took 3-9 as Kirkby Portland came away with the win over Poplars 78-10.
“ORACLE PROPERTY FINANCE” DIVISION M
Mark Ebb 48 & Kevin Mullins 5-24 saw Belvoir to a comfortable win over Burton Joyce 98-10. A maiden century 120* from Carl Knight was the highlight as Attenborough 235-6 overwhelmed Thrumpton 152-8 for whom special mention goes to Mark Priestley for his 72*. A fine spell of 5-18 from Andy Matthews saw Wymeswold 58-5 defeat a disappointing Whatton & Aslockton side who could only manage a meagre 57-10 earlier in the game. Tam Russell Webster took 5-27 in her side’s loss against East Bridgford 133-8 as Collingham were then bowled out for 117. Farndon 141-8 came away with the win as hosts Nott’s & Arnold fell 12 runs short closing on 129-9

In a game where only 126 deliveries were bowled Lambley slumped to 26 all out and Bingham 29-2 coasted home in rapid time. Ben Wass hit 60* as Old Dalby 138-3 came away with a victory over West Bridgfordians 137-9. Dennis Wright hit a match winning 45 for hosts Beeston & Toton Sycamore 142-6 as they overcame West Bridgford Legion’s score of 141-6. Jason Nicholson 31* & 3-30 ensured Sutton Bonnington 112-6 travelled home victorious when defeating Fiskerton 110-10. Richard Wolfe 53 and Andre Pears 25 & 5-36 helped Nottingham Deaf 176-10 get back on winning track as they defeated Ellerslie 145-10.
